Composite Deck Boards for Trailer Bunks? Posted this in the Boat and Trailer bling forum yesterday. Just wondering if anyones done it and how it turned out.. I had ultimate bunk boards on my last trailer and hated them. Loved them at first. Easy unloading. To load I had to leave my motor in gear or the boat would slide back off the trailer.
Completely removing the old rotten wood trailer bunks, and replacing them with composite rather than the wood. Hopefully this lasts the life of the boat/trailer.

Re: Composite for bunks? Have never tried it, However, I don't believe HD sells those composite deck in the same thickness as the 2x4 often found on the boat trailer. This would mean you may have to adjust the frame support to make up the difference in height.
